How to Look Attractive (Girls)

How to Look Attractive (Girls) For teenage girls, looking your best and attracting admirers is easy when you put your mind to it. Whether you're reading this to make new friends, catch your crushes eye or simply to feel better about yourself, these steps will help in any situation! 1 Fitness: Exercise. If you are at an ideal weight, but want to tone up a bit, try doing small exercises such as sit ups, push ups, weight lifting etc. Aim to do at least one set every morning and another every night. After doing these exercises for a while, you may notice that you've gained some weight. That's because muscle is denser than fat, and 1 cubic inch of muscle weighs more than 1 cubic inch of fat. (But that's no excuse to not exercise, if you need to be further convinced, muscle burns calories faster than fat does.) If you are already completely happy with your weight, you can skip this part. Try sports such as swimming and biking every now and then! If you are overweight or unhappy with your current weight, consult your doctor. 2 Body: To get smooth and silky skin, buy a nice smelling body exfoliator that isn't to harsh but does the job. If you want, shave/wax/use removal cream to get rid of leg hair. Follow by a rich body butter all over.
3 Face: Take care of your complexion. This is one of the hardest because everyone has different skin types and there are so many products out there. Ideally, use a good exfoliator in the morning, and a cleanser in the evening. Always wash your face morning and evening. Even missing out one night could result in a couple of spots the next morning. Use a toner if you think its needed, and a moisturizer to follow. Use a mask once or twice a week, and invest in a spot cream. 4 Smell: Always smell nice. Go for a natural, shampoo or soap type smell and spritz over some perfume on special occasions only.
5 Teeth: Brush your teeth for about two minutes twice a day, floss and use a mouthwash. If you have yellow teeth, use a whitening toothpaste. If you are unhappy with your teeth and think you need braces, talk to your dentist. If you have braces, embrace them. Don;t feel less attractive because if them. Visit the dentist every six months. 6 Personal hygiene: Shower every day. Use a deodorant that is antiperspirant while having an attractive smell. 7 Hair: Aim to wash your hair 2-3 times a week, depending on your hair type. If you feel like your hair is oily and you didn't have time to shower the night before or in the morning before school don't be scared to wash your hair in the sink. Choose a hairstyle suitable for the day. Ponytails, pigtails, side ponies, plaits, french plaits, straightening and scrunching are good for school. Try accessorizing with bright clips, ribbons (very chic and fashionable), hairbands and scrunchies. Keep stray hairs in place with bobby pins. Try not to put to much hairspray, gel, etc. in your hair, as it weighs it down and makes it look dirty. 8 Make-up: Try using mineral make-up, as they don't clog up pores and are better for your skin. For daytime, use very soft colours for eyes, cheeks and lips and wear just a bit of concealer to brighten up your eye area, and a very bit of face powder just to set it. For nighttime or hanging with friends, feel free to use darker and brighter colours. 9 Clothes that suit your figure, that make you happy and make you feel confident, confidence is attractive and draw people toward you. 10 Smile: There is nothing more attractive than a genuine smile, and nothing more sad that a beautiful girl with a sad or annoyed expression on her face. 11Voila! People will be tripping at your feet in no time! But most of all, you have to be COMFORTABLE with yourself before you make changes to your face and body. Without feeling happy with yourself, you won't be able to pull off a look.

Simple and Nutritious Foods To Sharpen And Improve Your Brain Power

Science has long told you what needs to be done to efficiently power your brain for sharp thinking. You have experienced the foggy brain that comes from not sleeping enough, so you make a point to go to bed at a regular time and sleep as restfully as you can. Stress has also been well publicized as bad news for the brain, so most people now try to cut out stress, even if that means cutting stressful people out of their lives. What you may not know yet is that the foods you choose to feed your body will either sabotage or improve your brain power. You must deliver nutrient-rich foods to your brain on a daily basis if you are serious about becoming the smartest, clearest thinking version of yourself possible. The healthiest foods for your brain happen to be some of the simplest to find, so start eating up and boosting your brain power today. Salmon for Omega 3s UCLA conducted research into the effects of sugar and omega 3 fatty acids on mice, and Forbes magazine reported in 2012 that the results showed omega 3 to be better for the brain. Mice were required to go through a maze after consuming a diet of sugar, omega 3s, or a simple diet without omega 3 or sugar. The omega 3 group did the best in the maze, while the rats on sugar performed the worst. Obviously, there is something in omega 3 fats that powers your brain for enhanced thinking. Any type of fatty fish can provide omega 3, although salmon has become the highest suggested source. Green vegetables can also contain omega 3, though in smaller concentrations so you have to eat more. The easiest way to consume your needed omega 3 fatty acid is through a daily supplement. Complex Carbs You will never get the best results from your brain without supplying energy from healthy sources. This is why you may find it more difficult to focus or concentrate when you are on a very restrictive diet. The brain needs healthy energy on a consistent basis if it is to function properly. Whole grain carbohydrates come from whole grain foods that have not been refined, but can also be found heavily in fresh vegetables. Your bloodstream will receive a longer period of nourishment from when you consume these complex carbohydrates, which means a longer period of energy supply. Your brain functions best when it has this consistent flow of energy from the processing of complex carbohydrates. You will never get the same quality or length of energy from simple carbohydrates, which have been robbed of the fiber that makes complex carbohydrates so healthy. Your body is able to break simple carbohydrates down faster, but that produces a rush of energy that falls off quickly, leaving your brain without energy. A diet rich in complex carbs and low in simple carbs will always serve your brain better.

10 Tips for guaranteed weight loss

With fad diets and fitness routines round every corner, it is quite difficult to keep a tab on which weight loss tips really do work and which don't. Should you join that bhangra aerobics class, adopt that no-carb diet, or eat dinner at 6pm? Never mind all that loophole-ridden weight loss jargon, step over to the healthy side. Here are 10 tips for guaranteed weight loss that will set your weight straight, and help you adopt some really healthy, weight-friendly habits for life.

Weight loss tip 1: Decide how much weight you need to lose - Most people start their weight loss journey by claiming to be xyz kilos overweight. This isn't a healthy way to project or aim for weight loss. Calculate your desired weight against your height by using reliable methods like the BMI, and set a healthy weight loss target. This is often half the battle won.

Weight loss tip 2: Time management - This is quite often overlooked. Decide which part of your day will be dedicated to exercise, when in the week you will stock up on groceries, and when you will do the cooking - all within your current work and home life routine. If you don't do this now, your days will be rushed and unplanned, and you won't be able to sustain your weight loss efforts.

Weight loss tip 3: Stock your kitchen - Keep your house well-stocked with fruits, vegetables, healthy meats, grains, cereals, spices, and flavourers. Follow our tricks to healthy cooking, cooking vegetables for the week, and low-fat cooking posts to understand how best you can stock your kitchen with healthy and delicious ingredients. All of this will go into helping the next step - cooking healthy meals at home.

Weight loss tip 4: Eat healthy homecooked meals - Whether it's you who's cooking, a family member, or house help, ensure that every one practises healthy cooking methods, and ingredients. Ask any person who's lost weight the healthy way, and you will always hear about how healthy homecooked meals were a big reason behind it. Use less oil, low salt, fresh produce, and you'll start seeing results in no time.

Weight loss tip 5 : Start a cardio + weights workout - A healthy weight loss programme is incomplete without a good exercise routine, and weight training mixed with cardio is the best way to lose weight. Of course, variations and forms exist, but any workout that stresses on muscle tone and increased heart rate will always help you lose weight and keep it off. You can either start a home workout today, or rely on gyms for fitness training.

Weight loss tip 6: Alter your snacking habits - At Health Me Up, we have several healthy snacking ideas for you. Set those French fries aside, skip that aerated drink, and ban those unhealthy deep fried samosas. Explore the healthy snack world and you will find several appetisers, party snacks, movie snacks and meal accompaniments that'll satisfy every craving of yours.

Weight loss tip 7: Have at least one active hobby - It isn't sufficient to rely on just 30 to 60 minutes of physical activity per day. Moving from bed to office chair, and back to bed, isn't a healthy way to live. Buy a motion sensor gaming console that lets you enjoy social games with friends and family, plan weekend trips, clean your house once a week, dance, play sports, the list is endless. Get out of the coffee shop and dining table rut, and you'll have fun along with the healthy weight loss.

Weight loss tip 8: Find a solution to combat stress - As we pointed out in our post about stress and weight loss, stress is always detrimental to healthy weight loss in the long run. Find ways to combat stress and you'll soon realise that your diet and exercise aren't sabotaged anymore, and that you truly do see results. Look at yoga, meditation, deep breathing exercises, or simple hobbies like reading to fight stress.

Weight loss tip 9: Drink plenty of water - You've known that your body relies heavily on water for all important bodily functions, and yet you skimp on drinking adequate quantities of water every day. Well, it's time to stop that. Check out some exciting ways to make water interesting and you'll be packing it away in no time. Do not forget to carry a water bottle to your workout, and take a few sips after every 2-3 minutes of exercise.

Weight loss tip 10: Plan healthy vacations - Why go all the way with healthy weight loss, when one tiny vacation will just come along and topple it all? Healthy vacations aren't impossible. Take a look at how you can eat smart on a holiday, and then at bodyweight workouts that you can carry with you wherever you go, to understand how to holiday right. Above all, remember that these are lifelong habits that'll help you stay fit forever and not short term weight loss quickfixes.

Try a bindi now with western wear

What is common between Hollywood icons Miley Cyrus, Alecia Keys, Gwen Stefani, Katy Perry and Madonna? They have of late been spotted wearing an Indian fashion accessory - the bindi.
No Indian attire is complete without an appropriate bindi, and over the years it has turned into a fashion statement not only in India but in the West as well. The number of young girls sporting bindi abroad is noticeable.

Has bindi become a fad again?

"If you ask me, bindi is neither in nor out. It fits beautifully with the Indian look, especially saris. Yes, Madonna and many other pop stars use bindi. It's fun for them to look different, but for us it creates a magic. And being an Indian we cannot keep ourselves apart from bindi. As Indian designers we have to create a little magic so that it breaks the barrier of being Indian to a global format," Delhi-based designer Joy Mitra said in an interview.

"Styling differs from person to person. I might style bindi in a certain way, but honestly one has to be sure and confident about the right colour, size and with what garment it should be worn. I might use a bright red big bindi with my traditional saris or a small diamond or Swarovski bindi with my jackets," he added.
The word bindi is derived from the Sanskrit word 'bindu' which means a dot.

In India, bindi is usually worn with saris and salwar kameez, but how can we make it a more global accessory?
"One can match bindis with clothes that have a lot of lace... also with Victorian style gowns made with wispy fabrics like chiffons and georgettes. Full skirts and dresses have a lot of volume and bindis gel with them," designer Aastha Bahl suggested on how to team the bindi with Western wear.
Shilpa Rastogi, a city-bred college girl, said: "I often wear bindi with long skirts and t-shirts. I also like wearing bindi with jeans and t-shirts. It's all about how you carry it. It need not necessarily be associated with saris or salwar kameez."

Bindis can be worn in various shapes and designs. "You can draw straight vertical lines or an oval or a triangle or miniature artistry in various colours with the help of a fine-tipped stick," said socialite Tanisha Mohan.
And if you want to make it more prominent, "dust it with gold and silver powder or add a stud or a bead," she added.
In olden days, bindis were usually worn with vermilion powder but later sticker-bindis with glue on one side came and became a hot favourite and now they are available in various shapes and sizes.
The daily television soaps have also given a makeover to bindis. Actresses like Sudha Chandran and Uravashi Dholkai popularised bindis by trying them out in various shapes and designs.
So if you want to make a fashion statement, try bindis with with Western wear, but be innovative when it comes to designing them.
